Background of Establishment
The idea of establishing a Society for increasing awareness and developing further the science of non-verbal communication analysis for detecting deception was conceived after realizing that there was still a lot of ignorance on the subject matter. The hope is that through this approach, investigators could learn to easily detect deception from the non-verbal cues leaked by an individual during questioning. Yet the application is not intended solely for investigators because we all could be more empowered by knowing when the person we are having a conversation with is actually trying to deceive us. Through the use of scientific findings and further research this Society hopes to provide support and encouragement for all those specializing in this field of Non-Verbal Communcation and thus enhance the recognition of this wonderful science of human nature. Mr.Jackson Yogarajah, the founding president, has a Masters in Social Psychology from Trinity University (USA). He began his Non-Verbal Communication training career in 1995 and today remains the leading trainer in this region in the field of Non-Verbal Communication for use in interviews, investigations, crime prevention, and others.
